Everything you need to know about using Theraputo

Getting Started

After registration, go to Profile → Edit Profile. Fill in your name, speciality, medical registration number, qualifications, and clinic address. These details appear on every prescription PDF you generate.
Use a professional photo — it appears alongside your name on the prescription header.

Go to Profile → Signature. Upload a clear PNG or JPG image of your signature on a white background (recommended size: 300×100 px). The signature appears at the bottom of each prescription when the "Show digital signature" preference is enabled.
Scan or photograph your signature against bright white paper, then crop tightly for the cleanest result.

Each doctor can be associated with one or more clinic locations. Go to Clinics → Add Clinic and enter the address, phone, and email. You can upload a clinic logo (PNG/JPG, square preferred). When writing a prescription you can choose which clinic to show on the header.

Yes. During a consultation you can enable additional specialty sections (Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopaedics, etc.) by selecting them in the specialty picker. Your primary speciality set in your profile also determines which specialty sections are shown by default.
Consultations

Search for the patient by name or phone number on the dashboard. Click New Consultation. Previous consultation history is automatically loaded for reference. Fill in vitals, examination findings, medications, and print the prescription PDF directly.

As you type in the Diagnosis or Investigations fields, Theraputo queries its curated medical database using vector similarity search. Suggestions appear in a dropdown — click any to add it instantly. The AI is specialty-aware and shows relevant options for your selected specialty context.
Type at least 3 characters for the best suggestions. Abbreviations like "DMT2" or "URTI" are recognised.

Yes. When you open a new consultation, the most recent previous consultation is shown in the right-hand panel for reference. You can also browse the full history via Patient → Consultation History.

In the consultation form, scroll to Specialty Sections. Check the boxes next to the specialties you want to document (e.g. Cardiology, Respiratory, Neurology). Each section expands to show relevant examination fields. Only the sections you fill appear on the printed prescription.
Prescriptions & PDF Themes

Theraputo offers 7 professionally designed PDF themes:
Classic Blue Modern Minimal Medical Green Elegant Purple Clinical Teal Warm Orange Navy Corporate

Each has a unique colour scheme, typography, layout, and decorative healthcare graphic.

Go to Settings → Prescription Preferences. Under PDF Theme, choose your preferred theme from the dropdown. Your selection is saved automatically and applied to all future prescriptions. You can change it any time — past prescriptions are not modified.
Preview each theme by generating a sample prescription before committing.

In Settings → Prescription Preferences you can toggle:
  • Registration number on header
  • QR code (links patient to their records)
  • Patient history section
  • Vitals section
  • Examination findings section
  • Digital signature
  • Theraputo branding footer

Yes. After saving a consultation, click View Prescription PDF. The PDF opens in a new tab — you can download it, share it, or print it directly. Patients also receive a QR code-linked version in their portal.
QR Code & Document Upload

The QR code allows patients to upload their own documents (lab reports, scans, previous prescriptions) directly to their Theraputo profile by scanning it with any smartphone camera — no app required. You can then view these uploaded documents during future consultations.

In the consultation form, click Generate QR next to the patient's name. A unique QR code is generated for that patient instantly. If a QR already exists, click Regenerate to issue a fresh one (the old link is deactivated).
Regenerating invalidates the old QR — inform patients who already saved it.

During a consultation, scroll to the Previous Documents section. All documents the patient has uploaded via QR are listed with upload date and file type. Click any document to view or download it.
Subscriptions & Billing

Theraputo offers flexible monthly and annual plans. Each plan includes a set number of consultations per month, PDF prescription generation, patient QR code management, and AI-powered suggestions. Higher-tier plans include unlimited consultations, priority support, and additional clinic profiles. Visit Settings → Subscription to see your current plan and available upgrades.

Payments are processed securely via Razorpay. We accept UPI, credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), net banking, and wallets. All transactions are encrypted and you receive a digital receipt instantly.

You will see a notification when you approach your monthly limit. Once the limit is reached, new consultations are paused until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade your plan. Existing patient data and past prescriptions remain fully accessible at all times.

Go to Settings → Subscription → Cancel Plan. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access until then. Your data is preserved for 90 days after cancellation. Write to help@theraputo.com if you need a refund assessment.
Appointment Scheduling

Yes. Once you enable online booking in Settings → Appointments, a booking link is generated for your clinic. Share this link with patients or embed it on your website. Patients can view your available slots and book without calling.

Go to Appointments → Schedule Settings. Set your working days, start/end times, consultation duration, and buffer time between patients. You can also block specific dates for holidays or leave.

Patients receive an SMS/WhatsApp confirmation immediately after booking, and a reminder 24 hours before their appointment. You can configure reminder preferences in Settings → Notifications.
Getting Started as a Patient

No account is needed to receive a paper or digital prescription from your doctor. However, to access your patient portal (view prescription history, upload documents, book appointments), you register with your mobile number. Your doctor's staff may register you during your first visit.

Visit theraputo.com/patient and enter the mobile number registered with your doctor's clinic. You will receive a one-time password (OTP) via SMS. Enter it to log in — no username or password to remember.
Make sure you use the same phone number you gave your doctor during registration.

Yes. If multiple doctors use Theraputo and your mobile number is registered with each, all records appear in your single patient portal account, organised by doctor and clinic.
Accessing Prescriptions

Log into your patient portal and go to My Prescriptions. Click the prescription date to open it, then click Download PDF. You can also share it directly from the portal via WhatsApp or email.

Prescriptions are stored securely for as long as your doctor maintains an active Theraputo account. We recommend downloading and storing important prescriptions locally as well.

Yes. From your patient portal you can share a secure view-only link to any prescription. The link is valid for 30 days and does not require the recipient to create an account. You can also share the downloaded PDF directly.
Uploading Documents via QR

  1. Find the QR code on your prescription.
  2. Scan it with your phone's camera — a browser link opens automatically.
  3. Tap Upload Document, choose your file (PDF, JPG, or PNG), and confirm.
  4. Your doctor can see the uploaded file immediately at their next consultation.
Files up to 10 MB are accepted. For multi-page reports, PDF works best.

No app is needed. Simply point your built-in phone camera at the QR code. On Android or iOS the link opens directly in your browser.

Yes. Log into your patient portal and go to My Documents. All files you have uploaded are listed with date and file name, and can be downloaded again at any time.
